Short-form guide · East Texas
Do TikTok and Reels work for East Texas small businesses?
They can: the short-form video Garnet films for Kramer Autoplex on its lot in Livingston, TX shows 26M+ public TikTok views and 17M+ YouTube Shorts views (public channel counts, September 2026), and 49 of those TikToks have passed 100,000 views. Views aren't sales, and results vary by business, but local video filmed with real people and places can reach far beyond a small town.
What we've seen in East Texas
Two of our clients show two different scales:
- Kramer Autoplex, Livingston (car dealership). The accounts started from 0 followers in 2023 and reached 88.38K across TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram (Metricool, Oct 12, 2025 – Oct 12, 2026). The most-watched TikTok, the “Working with men” showroom skit, has 1.2 million views; a classic Camaro SS reveal has 529,000. See the results and the Kramer Autoplex case study.
- JR's on the Lake, Onalaska (restaurant). Two short promos, an introduction to the restaurant and a daily-specials feature, recorded 7,600 and 6,300 TikTok views (portfolio snapshot, September 2026). See the JR's on the Lake work.
Public view counts are platform numbers, not a measurement of leads or sales.
TikTok vs. Reels: where our numbers come from
Most of our public view counts are on TikTok and YouTube Shorts. For Kramer, Instagram is the smallest channel: 352 followers and 908.58K impressions over Oct 12, 2025 – Oct 12, 2026 (Metricool), next to 20.56M impressions on Facebook in the same period. We don't have separate Reels view counts to share, so we don't claim Reels results. Our practical recommendation: let each account's own analytics show where your customers actually watch.
What we film
For Kramer the mix includes showroom skits, inventory reveals, feature walkthroughs, a monthly series of 30-second sales-event commercials and an original competition series, Salesman of the Month. For JR's it was a restaurant introduction and a daily-specials promo. Each is a different format, not the same video repeated.
How often
Garnet shoots on-site at Kramer one day a week and posts five times a week. A smaller business may not need that pace, but it does need a schedule it can keep. More on frequency: how often a small business should post on TikTok.
Filmed here
All of the Kramer video was filmed on the lot in Livingston, and the JR's promos were shot in Onalaska on Lake Livingston. If you're in Polk County or along US-59, see video and social media marketing in Livingston.

It can happen. The Kramer Autoplex videos we film in Livingston show 26M+ public TikTok views (September 2026), and 49 have passed 100,000. Views aren't guaranteed for any business, and they aren't the same as sales.
Does Garnet have Instagram Reels results to share?
Not as separate Reels view counts. For Kramer Autoplex, Metricool shows 352 Instagram followers and 908.58K Instagram impressions for Oct 12, 2025 – Oct 12, 2026. Most of our public view counts are on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Do I have to be a car dealership?
No. Besides Kramer Autoplex, we made short promos for JR's on the Lake, a restaurant in Onalaska. Different businesses need different formats.
