Can I add a video to my Google Business Profile?
The short answer
Yes. Google says you can add videos to your Business Profile once it's verified, and each video can be up to 30 seconds long, up to 75 MB and 720p or higher (Google Business Profile Help). Google reviews each upload against its photo and video policies before it shows on your profile.
Google's video rules
You might think any clip from your phone or social accounts will work. Google's help page sets clear limits:
- Verify first. Photos and videos show on Google only after your Business Profile is verified.
- 30 seconds max. Longer clips don't meet the requirements.
- Up to 75 MB, at 720p or higher.
- Show reality. Google's guidelines say your photos and videos should represent reality and follow its content policy.
- Expect a review. After you upload, Google checks the media against its policies before it appears.
To add one, Google says to open Google Search or Maps on your computer, search for your business name and city, then choose Photos and Add photos and select your video. Your newest media shows first.
What we'd film in 30 seconds
This part is our recommendation, not a Google rule. Thirty seconds is short, so give each clip one job: show one thing a customer wants to see before they visit.
Here's a real example of the cut we'd make. The 2027 Chevy Equinox LT walkaround on the Kramer Autoplex YouTube channel runs about 3 minutes, and its description says it covers the exterior, the interior, the tech, the back seat and the cargo space. That's roughly six times Google's limit. Rather than speed it up, we'd cut one section, such as the cargo area, into its own 30-second clip, and save the full walkaround for YouTube. Our post on what to show in a car dealership walkaround video breaks down those sections.
As hypothetical examples only:
- A restaurant could post 30 seconds of a plate coming off the line.
- A roofer could post a slow walk along a finished roof line.
- A shop or store could post the walk from the parking lot to the front door, so first-time visitors know what to look for.
Video works alongside your photos, not in place of them. See our guides to Google Business Profile photos for car dealerships and Google Business Profile posts.

This article is general information. Google's requirements can change, so check its help page before you upload.
Bottom line
You can add video to a verified Google Business Profile as long as each clip is 30 seconds or less, 75 MB or less and at least 720p. Cut one clear moment per clip instead of squeezing in a long video.
